Seth had always been a bit strange to people, but in the way that a kid should be: he was outgoing, full of energy, and not afraid to speak his mind whenever he felt it necessary. But that fun-loving kid that people seemed to like quickly disappeared as he grew up and was subject to the harsh realities of life. As Seth grew and entered school with the other children of his age, bullies began to ravage his life. At first when they would tell him that he was worthless and not meant to be still living, Seth would just ignore it, laughing it off as it meant nothing to him. Yet after numerous years of the same taunting insults, they started to get to him and he began to believe what they said about him.
By the time that he lost all confidence in himself, he was already a teenager. It was difficult for Seth to focus on school or his life because he had always relied on human interaction so heavily and no one in his school would talk with him do to the reputation that the other bullying children had made for him. With no one else to turn to, he made friends with the other teenagers that had lost all hope. They introduced him to substances that allowed him to forget about the insults and be numbed from the harshness of the outside world.
Even when he was at an all-time low of confidence, Seth still had the outgoing an extroverted personality though he began to show signs of delusions as he would not listen to any directions given to him by his teachers and parents because he thought they were below him. It wasn’t until he turned 16, though, that he had real trouble. Seth would yell at anyone who insulted him and would act violently toward his peers, telling them to “not disrespect their king” and other things of that nature. In his mind, Seth was the king, the one and only king of everyone that he came into contact with. There wasn’t a doubt in his mind that he was above everyone else. That same year that Seth turned 16, he was expelled from school and sent to West Harbor for delusions of grandeur as well as previous substance abuse.

Life in a mental health institution can be anything but easy. Especially for the patients of Home For The Helpless. The building is as beautiful as it look in the brochure, but the situations that occur behind the Home’s closed doors are less than ideal. Security is low. Threats are high. And rather than being helped, patients find themselves circling around the drain of madness. These days there seems to be one question on every pair of hushed lips belonging to the inhabitants of the Home for the Helpless…
How long will you make it before you finally snap?
